YMERE
In the past couple of years an entire new borough of Amsterdam has been risen on the east side of town: IJburg. Right in the heart of this huge settlement housing corporation Ymere developed a block of appartments for 70 foreign students of the conservatory. They asked us to give the place a name and create a routing for the interior. As we chose to call the place HOME, we looked up the most common Dutch sayings containing that word. We translated those straight from Dutch into English and gave every floor it’s own conversation-starter.
